Camden Council approves Good Friday Procession

Camden Council has approved plans by Saint Anargyre Greek Orthodox church in Highgate to have the Good Friday procession 2015 in the neighbouring streets.  The Good Friday procession which is one of the most significant religous events for the Orthodox Christian church involves the carrying of the cross an epitaph and other religious symbols.

John Kaponi the secretary of the Saint Anargyre said:

"It is with pride we will be having our Good Friday procession in our local community here in Highgate.  We have all worked very hard to organise something special for our parish and neighbours here and wish everyone receives the meaning of Easter via our efforts".
